The first pillar post boxes appeared along the roadsides of the British Isles in 1857. By 1874 all the post boxes in London had been painted red; it took 10 more years before all the post boxes in the UK were also painted red. Our Royal Mail Box is painted in shiny red and black, with gold detailing. Hand-blown and hand-painted in Poland. Clearance item: gift box not included.
